Drug Study Participation
Significant Clinical Trials Conducted at Valley Internal Medicine
When Mark Romoff, M.D., completed his third year of
research in the Division of Kidney Disease at LAC-USC Medical Center, he
was ready for the clinical practice of medicine and nephrology, but he
knew he would miss the days of clinical trials and the excitement of
research. So, for the last several years, Dr. Romoff has been involved
in a multiplicity of trials ranging from drugs to treat hypertension and
medications for peripheral vascular disease to new agents for erectile
dysfunction.
"This has been both challenging and very gratifying," said Dr. Romoff.
Mark Romoff, MD colleagues, Matthew Mischel,
M.D., Nick DiDomenico, M.D., and Jeff Glick, M.D. are also involved in
research endeavors.
Following is a list of the ongoing studies being
conducted at Valley Internal Medicine (VIM). If you have any interest
in participating in one or more of these trials, please call your VIM
physician or Dr. Romoff, Dr. Mischel or their respective secretaries.
Most studies cover complete medical cost and testing. Some may pay a
participation fee. For more information, please call (818) 787-2410.

Be
Prepared for Your Visit
Office visits
with the physician are by appointment only. If you are unable to keep
your scheduled appointment, please notify our office at least 24 hours
in advance.
If this your
first visit with the doctor, please allow more time.
This is to give us an opportunity to obtain all the necessary
information about your condition.
Please bring all
your medications or a written list of them. This will allow us to know
exactly what medication you are taking and avoid any medication
interaction errors. If you are newly diagnosed, we
encourage you to bring a close relative or friend with you to your
office visit.
